The Zone 9 Midweek Challenge for 2018 will be remembered for one thing- rain! Once again the heavens opened to put a very literal "dampener" on proceedings. Rain fell pretty well continuously throughout the afternoon. The A, C and D Grade games were all abandoned. In Grade B, where the section was wide open, the players did heroically complete their match. Mosman came away with an excellent away win 104-55 (6 pts to 0).
The loss in Grade B leaves our side bottom of the section now and out of contention with Turramurra and Mosman duelling for top spot. The ladder in Grade C couldn't be any closer and St Ives will have their chance in Round 6 at home to Turramurra. The winner will probably top the section. In Grade D Warrawee are now assured of top spot on the ladder. Gerard Coggans 8 November 2018
