St Ives has had a strong competitive season in the Pennants competition that saw three of our four teams in with a chance of making the Finals Weekend with one match to go. At the end of the day two out of three teams achieved their objective and will be moving on to next weekend at Harbord BC. The 4s were faced with a winner-take-all match away to Willoughby Park and produced a marvellous 71-52 victory (9 1/2 pts to 1/2) to top their section ladder by 4 pts. St Ives will face Harbord (2) who topped the other Grade 4 section next weekend. The 7s also had a must-win away game at Seaforth and they too came away with a win 68-60 (9 pts to 1) to seal top spot in their section by 7 pts from Mona Vale. St Ives will be up against Warrawee next weekend. The 6s had the toughest assignment of Round 10. They had to win their match at North Manly and hope other results went their way. In the end it proved a step too far as North Manly won the match 71-48 (10 pts to 0). In the final analysis it was Mosman who came out on top of the section as they won their last match away at Chatswood. Congratulations to all involved for their efforts. The summary of our Pennants results is presented below.
