So here we go! Round 1 of the new Pennants season got underway with plenty of excitement despite a rather damp afternoon weatherwise. St Ives achieved some encouraging results to boost confidence across our teams.
In Grade 3 St Ives achieved a nice away victory at Dee Why winning 58-53 (8 pts to 2). The other three matches were all played on home turf. The Grade 4 side had an excellent win over Turramurra 65-61 (8 pts to 2). In grade 6, our No 1 side thumped Chatswood 61-45 (9 pts to 1) but it was a frustrating loss for the No 2 side against Manly. St Ives led for almost the entire match but on the 63rd end they were overhauled by the visitors losing 52-53 (1 pt to 9).
