Round 6 of this year's Pennants competition proved unrewarding for St Ives as all four of our sides went down on Saturday.
In Grade 3, playing at home against Dee Why, we suffered a disappointing loss 48-52 (1 pt to 9). That leaves the 3s with a 3-3 record and chasing the ladder leaders Asquith (5-1) who won their top of the table clash with Manly. The Grade 4 side were away at Turramurra and for the second week in a row they suffered a heartbreaking loss 60-63 (1 pt to 9). Asquith now have a 2-win edge over the rest in this section. In Grade 6, the #1 side were beaten 47-67 away to Chatswood (1 1/2 pts to 8 1/2). As some consolation the ladder leaders Belrose also lost heavily at Balgowlah so the 1s are still only one win behind. The #2 side came up just short away to Manly 61-69 (2 pts to 8). Harbord seem to have this section sewn up with an impressive 6-0 record.
