As in Round 2, home advantage was the key factor in this week's results in the Pennants competition. Two wins at home and two losses on foreign soil was the summary of last Saturday's efforts.
At home, the Grade 4 side had a nice win against Warrawee 61-52 (9 1/2 pts to 1/2). That gives them 2 wins and 1 loss which puts them at the head of the section along with Asquith & Forestville RSL. The Grade 6 (2) side notched their first victory against Avalon, winning 55-44 (10 pts to 0). Away from home the Grade 3 side suffered their first loss, 45-63 (1 pt to 9) against Asquith. There are now four teams with a 2-1 record: Manly, Asquith, Dee Why & St Ives. The Grade 6 (1) side went down against unbeaten Belrose, losing 49-66 (1 1/2 pts to 8 1/2). St Ives now trail the Bulls, in second place on the ladder with a 2-1 record.
