It was a most disappointing day for our Grade 2 side in today's round 4 Pennant match, going down by just 1 shot to Dee Why. Trailing by 10 shots with 10 ends to play our side put in a gallant late run to just come up short. Both Chris Carey's and Rod Silber's team had good wins to give a 8-2 final points result. But for a six shot turnaround - 5 up to 1 down- in Chris' game the result would have been so different.
Better news for our 4's who had a 66-58, 9 points to 1 win against Harbord, playing at Harbord. However, it was a great day for the 6's playing top-of-the-table, undefeated Mosman. They had a 67-61, 9 points to 1 win to swap places with their opponents and go to the top of the table. But it was the reverse call for the 7's who were on the top of the table playing Mona Vale who were running second. They lost 44-66, 1 point to 9 to also do a swap. All three games were played at home in a beautiful autumn day, somewhat of a change from last weekend when all four sides were playing away. Tony Tinworth 19 May 2018
