The first round of the Womens Triples was played on Tuesday with some very close matches. Notably Vicki Bartrop's team only came out on top with Vicki's very last bowl. In another tight matchup Joyce Gordon's team beat Joy Sapier's team by just two shots. The full draw is shown below.

The Lindfield &Turramurra Bendigo Bank Community Bank Shield was hosted by the Warrawee Bowling Club on Monday August 13. Teams from Turramurra, Killara, Warrawee, Lindfield & St Ives Bowling Clubs participated in this annual all-day event. 12 bowlers from each club played 2 games of 3 bowl triples. The winner being the club with the most wins. After some very close games between the clubs, St Ives was declared the WINNER by winning 6 out of the 8 games played. The St Ives team of Pete Shlager, Graham Hancock, Bev Barton, Kath Morrison, Tony Wright, Di McBryde, John Cumming, Sue Byrne, Chris Bergman, Ann Cowlishaw, Rhonwen Martin & Peter Larcombe represented the Club. Wilson had a walkover in his first round before facing Terry Warder from Harbord in the second round. Unfortunately after a tight contest Wilson went down 31-25.

Gerard Coggans 6 August 2018 Commiserations to Chris Carey who fell just short in his State Singles semi-final yesterday losing 31-27 to Alan McMaster from North Sydney. The ultimate winner was Stuart McLeod from Mona Vale who pipped Alan McMaster 31-30 in the final.
In the Senior Singles the winner was Crawford Linton from Belrose and in the Reserve Singles honours went to Mark Walkden from Pittwater Memorial. Some incredibly tight matches at Harbord BC. The three finals were decided by an aggregate margin of just 4 shots.
